Im helping a neighbor find out about hit tractor. It's a TO35.
Serial number i72278. I can't find the table showing how to look up the year. Any help is appreciated

1957 started with SN 171741 and ended with SN 183347. I usually go to the tractordata website for info like this.

G = Gasoline
M+ Dual Stage Clutch
172278 is a 1957 serial number as Richard Nixon posted for you.

So I guess they just used a capital i for the number 1.

Yes, they used the capital i, the Roman numeral for 1.
