TO20 value?

I'm looking at a TO 20 It's fairly decent , runs good, complete. The pto works okay but the tph arms don't lift. You can feel them sort of pulse. Should I walk away or is this fixable?

Without looking it is dificult to tell what you have. Perhaps dirty oil? Broken linkeage?
Value is linked to location. Others around you are selling for what? A Fergy in this area is less than a 8N typically. Unless it is pretty and has a toy of some sort behind it. Then you stand a chance.

Did you check the fluid level in the tranny. I bought a TO30 from a guy that said the lift didn't work. After taking the covers off I found hardly any oil in it. I removed the pump and took it apart. Rebuilt the check valves, mic-ed the pistons and chambers and found them well withen specs. After putting it all back together I tried it on a 7 foot field cultivator and it lifted it idling. Hope that's your case, Mike

I would say fixable, of course it takes dollars off the price. wink

Right on Bruce, sameo sameo down south, 8n's bring more , who knows why but i consider problems with the engine to be less troubleing or more easily fixable, comes from no real experience with pto troubles. WHERE U BEEN BRUCE!!
