TO30 electrical system overdone continued

In the goofy arrangement with the solenoid the starter switch was jumpered-- used as a terminal block. The starter switch is new and never been used.I know that because there is no wear on the button because there is no actuator that I can see or feel. What does it look like? Where can I buy one? I looked on this site already. A transmission parts breakdown would help me I think.

Does the original starter switch actuator have to be removed to install a Sherman? I have one in my TO30.

I don't think so but can't guarantee. The sherman has an offset on the left side at the top next to it's shift rail that looks like it would provide clearance for the starter switch linkage. Several folks on this forum have indicated that the only obvious change with a sherman is it's shifter. Anyone out there had a problem?

I have no first hand knowledge myself, but I think the guys on here said if someone put a Sherman in made for a Ford, the top is different, and interferes with the start lever and has to be removed. You can see if its still in there by taking the start switch out. Look down through the hole and by moving the gear shift to "start", you can see it move.

Somewhere on here, someone put up a couple photos of a Sherman for a Ford and a Ferguson and if I remember right, the top of the case is different.
