our project got delayed at work today,so we could not work , I went to pa and cleared the trail that I made through the woods several years ago, I made the trail with the tractor and back blade. The snowstorm in oct. made many trees fall down in the woods, and a lot of the trail was blocked by downed trees, It was cloudy there today, but real nice and warm. I had a great time cutting wood, found a old bottle and a few things in the woods, and had my lunch at the picnic tables I built three years ago and never had time to sit at them until today.

Nice pics Larry..
One thought though maybe you want to turn those blocks on their side.. rather see the critters run through them than hiding inside them... wouldn't like to have a sit down lunch with a rattler in warmer weather ..

looks like a great way to cut wood , Nice table & bench to eat your lunh at . All that is missing is a place to build a fire if needed .

What a great day you had not at work!
I like how the planks of the table are aging, what do the antique folks call that...patina? It's so pretty there, I can understand why you love going there...even if it is just to work. But I didn't see the truck tool box you took out there recently, don't tell us someone borrowed it when you weren't there.

Oh good. I was going to suggest you paint it camouflage color but if you had it in those woods, you probably wouldn't be able to find it when you need some garden tools in the spring!

Keep the pictures coming, I for one sure enjoy seeing your part of our wonderful country.

Thanks for the pictures Larry - I like to "play" like that when I don't have to work! LOL

PS: Rained all last night and today here in cIllinoiz - Bet we got 2+". Might be coming your way?

Jim

Larry, the photo of the building at the foot of the hill and the mountains in the distance is calendar material for sure! 'Course you would need to remove the back end of the truck.
I spent the afternoon cutting and removing limbs from the side yard myself. A huge oak split itself last summer and the power company had a crew take it down for me since it was close to the power line. The thing sure did have a pile of limbs on it.

Nice pics in the woods. I got a couple of loads of wood cut yesterday before the monsoon hit today! Be awhile before the woods dries out enough to cut more, dang rain!

Good to know that I"m not the only one clearing tractor trails through the woods.

Thanks for sharing your photos with us.

I always enjoy your pictures of Pa. I live in northeast Pa. myself, north of Scranton. I still have a job, but wish I had some of your energy. I keep busy all the time, but no extra energy.
