Toilet Flange Replace

Had to pull up this toilet and replace the plywood floor because it keeps leaking,
Slots for hold down screws were also cracked in the flange.
That is a 3 by 4 toilet 90 in the floor and it had flange that glued to the outside of the 90.
I was able to remove most of the glued on part of the flange but not all of it.
Either way I do not see removing more of the flange will do any good as I can not see me getting a water tight fit.

So my question is do they make a flange that would fit on the inside of this 90 as the inside still looks to be in good shape.

I've used fernco couplers to adapt to different sizes pipes.

I've also seen a box built to raise toilet 2 inches if you need more space.
Plumbing is a crapy job. LOL
Have fun.

Is that ABS pipe? They do make internal flanges. Some glue in and others have a gasket and screws that expands in the old fitting. Do a search for 4" closet flanges.

push in flange
This flange should work. I would put a green wood 2X6 blocking under the top cut in the floor, and support the existing EL with pipe strap to that and the existing joist. Supporting the new floor all around is critical Glue and screw. Use a non wax urethane and plastic gasket under the stool. Jim

There are a number of after market rpoducts that will rescue you on that but I don't have a ready reference. I would take that photo to the plumbing supply shop and they will get you exadctly what you need.

Follow up.....

I replaced a 2 by 2 section of the plywood floor with plenty bracing between the floor joist yesterday.
Home center had the fitting I want in PVC but not ABS.
So I went to the plumbing supply this morning.

This original fitting is made for toilets.
You can see the bell on the 3 inch pipe side.
The 4 inch side does not have a bell.
Guy told me there are 3 options.
Clean up the outside and replace the flange with the original style.
That is not happening.
He said the slide in type goes in 4 inch pipe so it is to small for this fitting.
He said if I originally had the fitting that went on the inside I could cut the top of the flange off and use the slide in.
So my best option was a flange that glues inside this fitting.
He also sold me a rasp that mounts in a drill to grind off the spilt glue that had run inside this fitting from original installation.
Said this is not a pressure pipe so if you grind a little too much no big deal.
A little grinding and sanding and the new flange fit like a glove.
