Tool Challenge

Hello,
Time for another tool challenge.
The 2 wrenches are both used for a specific job.
Any one know what that specific use of the set.
Left tool is 1/2" right tool is 5/16"

The 5/16 could be use to torque down type SMA coax connectors, but I suspect that isn't the case, as the tool shown would make it way too easy to overtorque them.

I agree with Zack but I don't know if there were two sizes. Older GM cars and pickups used them to set distributor timing,

This is the easiest one you've ever posted. Their used to adjust the push rods on the old two stroke Detroits. The smaller one holds the rod and turns it to adjust the valve lash, and the larger one is used on the nut.

Detroit Diesel pushrod/valve adjusting wrenches. I have the same set. I've also found that the 1/2" valve wrench can sometimes be used as a distributor wrench, too.

Hello,
Many got it right. The wrenches are used to adjust Exhaust valves on a 2 stroke Detroit Diesel engine.
I'll have to post a harder one next time.
If someone has the same tools though, maybe you can just chime in with a guess, and let the someone else take a shot at the tool.
