I have a spring compressor that compresses the spring that holds the door open on a older GM vehicle.
Anyone that has ever tried to install that spring will know how important they are in reinstalling that spring

I have used it for cotter pins.
Had it for a long time. Bought it new at Sears in the mid 70s.
Edit:
It works good for oil seals too. Probably used it more that way than cotter pins.

That's a Craftsman cotter pin puller alright. I use mine to loosen stuck on radiator and heater hoses.
