The right tool that you need for the job your doing...no matter what tool that may be..... I say this because using the wrong tools usually causes either a broken tool, costing you money, or causes injury to either you or the part.

Hi Bob,

How about changing the question a bit to get some specific answers? What would be the one tool you would choose to have if you were a castaway on an uninhabited tropical island, like Robinson Crusoe? Nothing there but you, the island, and the tool of your choice. Without having thought about it too much, I'd say my choice would be an ax.

Best tool invented? Lots of choices to choose from but I'd pick an arc welder to be near the top of the list, other than that I'd say a persons hands or a manual. Dave

Chain saw has to be one of the top tools. It allows one person to do jobs that 10 men could not do before its invention.Clearing land,cutting trees, fire wood etc.Just think if all we had was cross-cut-saws and axes.
