Torque increasing rods.

I have some torque increasing rods available if anyone is interested. For my own tractor I took some rods that were 9 inches from center to center, heated them up with a torch and bent them 'till they were 6.5 inches from center to center. They work great? Huge increase in torque from my plain old straight rods that were 6.5 inches from center to center. I have no idea how this works but ChadS will be along shortly to tell you all about the complex physics involved. My gosh, why didn't someone think of this sooner! Drop me a line if you need some made up TODAY! Next I'm thinking about trying this with some rocker arms to get increased valve lift. The possibilities seem endless.

Here we go again! Somebody is bored or broke down and has to get the stick out and start poking someone with it!
HAPPY FATHERS DAY ALL!

Why go thru all the trouble of bending rods? Get an old two banger and pour a quart of torque in every tank of gas, I've been doing it for years and it realy helps!!!

You're too late! There's a guy from eastern Iowa that's been selling crooked rods for years. I've seen plenty of them, but never had the courage to put them in one of my tractors.

I've been running crooked rods like you describe for years! Got them from a crooked man who lived in a crooked house. Got around the clearance issue by using a straight crankshaft. Cut way down on the side thrust issue as well, which makes the engine last WAY longer than a normal stocker would. I currently have a little over 1 million hours on mine and every time I change the oil, it comes out cleaner than when it went in! Yep! I swear by them crooked rods! I just hope I never get caught pulling in farm stock with them. I am surprised no one has made me tear down yet, since I ALWAYS win, no matter the weight class, and I just pull an old H Farmall in 10,000 and 12,500 pound classes!
(Gotta stop for now, my waders are out in the shed!) ;op"

(quoted from post at 10:11:05 06/22/09) I just thought you could re install them opposite the crooked way they went in and run the motor hard. It'd surely straighten them eventually... ;)
That can be hard to do with directional rods.

I have been following this discussion and the one about ChadS' hitch, with interest. Using Chad's knowledge of hitch geometry I have applied it to a crankshaft and think I have developed a high torque crankshaft.

Notice how the crank pin pushes on the crank and transfers the force further down on the left side of the main bearing which increases the torque.

(quoted from post at 03:35:25 06/23/09) Mig. You know I am joking about all this, right? It was a jack-off topic anyway.
I HOPED SO BUT I GUESS NOW YOURE QUESTIONING WHITHER I WAS. i was just making few pokes that sometimes people dont know which way the rod goes sometimes or even the rod caps for that matter.

I have had good luck putting stick-em on the back tires. Its a little tuff getting going but man, I have to put a lot weight up front!

My wife caught me on phone buying the high torque rods and I learned some shocking news. I thought I Farmall-d the information from her but got surprised. She's really cute, she has Oliver teeth.
I new she did time for sewing Fords Cockshutt in Moline. But I didn't know she was in a Frick Tractor accident in Avery. She said St. Peter was there and said "you can't get in until you find PWM and be with him for 10 years.

You can't miss him because his 3rd gear in his 44 is as loud as a machine gun and he put too much power juice in his radiator and has water in the oil.
We've been married for nine years and said " we don't need any stinking, bent rods; one is enough!

I now what you are thinking but my 10 HP Kolher is making a cool 60 HP with a bent and twisted rod. It makes the oil turn clockwise in the block.

So now I'm worried and wondering what to do.

I have only one crooked rod and it does miracles! One is 32 and the other is 28 yrs. old now. I,m sure most of you have experienced similar results. Crooked rods RULE!!!!
