The resovor is up the front beside the top link for the 3 point linkage ,This implement sits alot closer than normal to allow the gate valve to be turned while sitting and operating a TEA ferguson ,

A clear picture of the whole thing helps, now it is starting to make sense of what was done. This arrangement sort of took the place of a remote on the tractor.

The yellow lines would be hoses hooked to the /cylinder. That vertical cylinder is acting as a displacement cylinder to move the tail wheel cylinder. The rod (currently hanging free but shown by the white line) of it would have been hooked to the pivot ball shown close to it in one of your other pictures. The reservoir on top of the pipe (mounted in the orange circled area) was to fill it when the 3-point arms were down. Once that vertical cylinder was full the valve was closed, it does not seem it would have been a pressure vessel. Lifting the 3-point arms would push the rod back into the vertical cylinder and send pressurized oil from that cylinder to the tail wheel cylinder to extend the tail wheel cylinder to move the tail wheel. When the arms were lowered the tail wheel cylinder would push oil back into the vertical cylinder.

I might add this plow didn't work very good for dad

OK, now everything makes sense. I've still never seen anything like that; it's new to me.

I'd guess it didn't work well on the Ferguson because it probably needed quite a bit of weight to operate properly given the large notched blades. I'm guessing heavy tough soil or a lot of residue he was trying to chop up? It was probably quite the load on the Ferguson if it was operating properly.

As for a manual, the only suggestion I have outside of searching the nether regions of the internet, is to give Jim Robinett a call at (206) 713-3441. He's in Oregon. I know he has a lot of manuals, but I'm not sure what he's got in the implements category. Good luck.

I'll also look through my archives but I can't promise much.
