I would like to purchase a manual for a newly acquired MF 40. I m fairly certain I need the regular MF 40, but before I order, can somebody please confirm my suspicion based on serial # 9A 140919. The "1 s" appear as "I" on the tag. From perusing the forum, I believe the "I s" are interpreted as "1". Thank you in advance for any help you can offer.

That's the same as they appear on the tag on my Massey-Harris 50

There is an MF 40 which is an industrial tractor and a Ferguson 40 which is somewhat of a twin to a Massey Harris 50. The Massey Harris 50 is a twin to the Massey Ferguson 50. The drive train is the same, however the sheet metal differs.

It is an industrial tractor with a Perkin's diesel. Last pic of tag is from the loader - MF-32.
