I'm done with farming and keep my tractor at a neighbor's I would like to drive it on an old country road I can't put it under home owners I checked into that anyone have insurance on old tractors?

Check with your agent.

Just don't let them sell you a policy that will cost more than the tractor is worth. They will likely only pay current market prices if something happened to it, which won't be much unless it's something rare. Then you would need "declared value" which can be very expensive.

How about a personal liability policy for liability?

As far as reclaiming the value of the tractor, I'd check with my insurance agent. I don't go on the road with my tractors that much anymore.

time to find a new agent tons of places that the tractor is under personable property. He isn't the only one that rites ins

I have American family ins. I don't farm. It took a little bit for my agent to figure it out. Had to give sel # and valve. 2 farmalls about $65.00 a year full coverage.

We have an umbrella policy to cover us when we're out on the roads, in the rented fields, etc with our equipment.

I have Indiana Farmer's insurance with just liability insurance on my Kawsaki mule, tractors and trailers.

I decided to have liability on my tractors after working next to road and car just about ran into me. Occasionally I'll drive a tractor to gas station about a half mile away.

Agent had to look a long time to find coverage.

With this wind we are having all night here and predicted for tomorrow , I wonder if the old barn will be standing in the morning. Three tractors plus other stuff in there. I have had contradicting information on my insurance coverage on the tractors from same Co. But, it is what it is I guess.

Pete, lean on your agnt a little. If you use an agent for a few years he should be willing to answer your questions so that you are not seeing contradictions.

I don't farm, I have a policy for my H that I take on tractor drives from my State Farm Agent, for $40 year, Same as for antique cars, used to have full coverage for $96 a year. valued at $4000 They need a picture, brothers agent would not insure his tractor because it was not painted up nice. Gene, I am sure that there were issues other than paint that your brother is not telling you about, LOL.

Get a separate policy it will not be that much , also consider getting a umbrella policy . for all your needs
