tractor needed for sycle mower

You need a tractor heavy enough to keep the front end down. HP is not really the concern. I run a JD 350 - 9' mower on a Cub Cadet 7360ss that weighs about 4000 lbs an dis 36 HP, but it makes the front end a little light on hills. Just cut about 20 acres with it yesterday. I had a guy in front of me with a 9'-3" disc mower who thought he'd be lapping me, but I kept right behind him. He did get me on the corners a bit as he could turn a little sharper than me :). Good luck.

Something with live/independent pto will be a lot more fun that without, as well.

Hey, if your gonna play know all the tricks; when nearly at the corner(7-9'from bar), crank the wheel hard right, hit the right brakeHARD. You'll power slide around the corner, throttles only go to slow when shutting off for the end of the day!!!

Back in the sixties we mowed with a neighbor who had a 41 JD B narrow front with a JD#5 7ft. On the corners he would pull the throttle back, step on the brake and the steering wheel would just about spin itself. We had a 35 A with the same mower but it wouldn't turn quite as easy. We never slid the wheel because it tore up the stubble.Jim
