Has anyone know of any show's in the Oakland County, Michigan area that we can attend, if not can anyone help put one together, or tell me how to go about getting it started, Thanks Cityfarmer of Pontiac, Michigan.

Well I don't know where Oakland County is but if you look to your left under 2007 Show Guide there are shows listed in Mi.

Can't help you with getting started with one,but this coming weekend,17-19th is the Oakley show just west of Chesaning. Just take 75 north to the M57 Chesaning exit,go west then it's a little south. They have a web site, don't know off hand what it is,but just do a Google search for Mid Michigan Old Gas Tractor Asociation. It's one of the largest shows in the state, lots of activities, featuring odd balls and orphans this year. Plenty of steam,my brother in law is taking his Keck Gonnerman.Pulls everyday, including an antique V8 powered class. It's not that long a drive for you,I don't think you'll be disapointed.

If you Think you would like the Oakley show, TRY the Buckley Show near Traverse City, It puts the other one to shame,in my Opinion, & I was born raised near Oakley

Buckley is the premier show for sure, but quite a drive from Oakland county. Would require a two day trip. If you're into steam and flea markets,Buckley is the one to go to at least once in your life.

Old Farmers show is coming up near Adrian weekend of September 21-24, not too far from you. Theres a show in early June at a Metropark near Dexter, also there's one near Monroe in early July I think. Don't know the exact dates for next year, but someone on this site probably does. Wauseon, OH is a good show, in late June every year. All of these would be within a 2 hour drive or less for you. The show in Oakley is very good, Buckley is another excellent one. Also theres one in July at Mason, just South of Lansing. I'm sure I'm missing some, but can't think of them offhand.

Well Oakland is just right next door to Detroit, I think ol Pontiac is attached actually, I wonder if the old farmers market in Royal Oak is still going. My grandpa used to take me down there all the time, we were close enough to walk, course back then we used to have to walk everywhere it seemed. Kent,
