Trailer Queen Hauling

When you guys with trailer queen N's haul them, how do you tie them down on the trailer without ruining the paint job? Goofy question, but I just got my full restoration running after being apart for nearly four years. Sure hate to mess it up! Thanks.

Tom........I ain't gott NO TRAILER QUEEN, its a worker, I use a 16ft flatbed trailer. ...BUT... I put some 5/8's EYE bolts in empty front axle holes to hook a custom made front axle bridal with hooks (thats a "Y" chain) to pull front wheels against a custom STOP-BAR with chain-tightener.

I have a "loop" that fits the 11-hole drawbar that I then hook a come-along to. It then STRETCHES the tractor from front axle chain-down.

And finally, I have a 2"-wide BELT that I strap OVER the tranny with some "corner protectors" that are non-marring plastic/paper stuff. Belt has built-in "J-HOOKS" that catch some trailer side pockets and then I use the built-in RATCHET to pull the tractor DOWN-TIGHT. Simple, eh?

Oh yeah, wheel chocks all around, they keep Barney happy. .......Dell

I use a two inch belt with a thick towel laid across the tranny and belts on bumper forward and to rear hitch. Towels prevent scratching, but more importantly, they keep the belts from starting a tear on the edges so they don't fail.
Brakes locked in low gear.

That would keep the "N" from comming loose, when ya brake suddenly to avoid running over wayward DUCK'S ......right???? :lol:

I don't ever brake for ducks as they taste good even when the season is not in!...hehehe

I use old fire hose -about 4' long and run the chains trough it.

Yep.. like the others said.. old fire hose to run chains thru.. ratchet straps in some places, and leather or fabric pads under chains.. all work.. etc..
