Trans axle serial numbers

I have found a stamped number in the transmission housing next to the starter switch and the top/left rear axle housing next to the trumpet. These numbers start with "D" followed by 5 digits. Anyone have any idea what these mean?? Thanks, MJD

No numbers in that area relative to tractor. Are the numbers stamped in or cast in. if they are cast in it is just a casting production number, nothing to do with us. If it is stamped in it has been added outside the factory, nothing to do with production. The only numbers in both those areas would be cast into the housings and they would give a date....John

I also have a TO30 with the numbers stamped in the top of the housing between the steering box and the starter switch. I have not found anyone that knows what they mean.
