Transaxle maintenance

Hey fellas, I'm nearly done with my Murray riding mower repower, just waiting for those last few parts to show up. The machine is a Murray 12HP/38" cut model, early 90's manufacture. The model number I got off the plate on the back is 38608X12B. It has a 5 speed manual transaxle with the shift knob in the center. While I've got it apart I'm wondering is there any maintenance I can do to the transaxle? I wanted to change the oil in it but can find neither drain or filler plugs. I cleaned all the debris off it and have a new motion drive belt on the way with the other parts. There is nothing wrong with the transaxle and I would like to keep it that way. Any suggestions are welcome.

Generally,if not abused or overloaded beyond abilities(heavy towing, speed shifting etc) those sealed units will outlast the tractor,,however on Murrays particularily the last few yrs before bankruptcy,I would consider locating and having a"spare"on hand for the long haul. Some late Murrays,in upper HP ranges(16+)used a VERY flimsy all aluminum Foote TA,which was way to light for the tractors abilities.
