I rebuilt the carb on my 8n. When I installed it on the tractor it will only run with the choke closed. if I turn off the choke it dies. I checked the float bowl and there is plenty of gas. just can"t pin point the problem

Have you backed the Main Power Adjust screw out at least 1 1/2 turns?

yes I have. I can adjust everything on this carb to the point the tractor is runnning like it should. But you have to have the choke on.

gkingery......it aint'chur float level, but you gott CLOGGED jets. The choke is "by-passing" yer jets. Take yer carb apart again and clean the tiny side holes in the slanted tube, I use a fine copper wire ......Dell

The carbs are so good on these tractors, that they don't have a overflow tube, they just suck the extra gas thru the motor. Must be smokin like a freight train.Clean the filter at the carb and blow all passages with compressed air.

2N4K, they have a drain in the bottom for 'overflow'.
