Not much talk about Tunica on here this year and its only 2 weeks away. Everyone is usually fired up about it by now. I noticed the payout on the 7250 KOH was down this year. Just shows that times are tough I guess.

I just had to cancel my reservations on Sunday. My buddy and I really wanted to come, but this is the slowest my business has been in 8 years. I figured I better stay at the house were it's cheaper. :^(

I was planning on going, but gonna sit this one out. I have a couple projects going on and need to put some effort to get that stuff together. I really need to get my 460 parts all rounded up and get it finished.

I'm still going, though most of the people I usually go with are not. Looking forward to a great time even if it is a little smaller.

Next year. Going next year.
Although when I talked to my dad last he said we are gonna look and see what the weather is like. So I may get roped into going to watch anyway.

My son grandkids and I are planning to go, so we just as well take Racketty Boom, looks like we pull on thursday. light mod classes. Hope to see you-all there. Vic

The Southern Nationals in Tunica are worth going to even if there is no payout. There are some who skipping this year and some who are going who skipped last year. I figure it'll still balance out to at least 1,000 hooks over the three days. It's just too big of an event for most to miss. I'm sure planning on bring ol' Ruff-N-Raggid. The payout probably won't mean a thing to me whether it's $10 or $10,000. As far as Mean Green cutting the payout goes; When expenses go up, (rent, advertising, insurance, fuel, etc.) something has to get cut. I'm just glad they're still going to have it. Just wish the government could understand the idea of cutting expenses. :) Hope to see y'all there.

Sorry you got your butt kicked both years. Some people just can't take it. I'm used to not winning, but it is nice to see how my tractor does up against a HUGE number of puller from all over the country. I figure if I'm in the top 10 out of 40, 50, or 60+ tractors in a class, that ain't too darn bad. I get to see a lot of good pulling and talk and visit with a lot of good people too.

I went last year for my first time...now I'm hooked on it! Last years pull was absolutely great!! I'll be there for sure :)
