Uber Dell LIVES!!!

SuperDell, solver of problems, lives, from his fancy cowboy hat, handle-bar mustache, all the way down to his boots. He also can put away an entire side of St. Louis style ribs, fastern" a whole pack of electrons runnin" from a battery--assuming clean connections--all the way to a sparkie.

I expect he"ll be home by Friday, and back typing by the weekend.

mono,

Glad he finally showed up in UT. Are you sure it was Dell eating all those ribs or was he feeding them to Keeper under the table?

Have never met Dell, but would some day like to. I have always enjoyed his posts and have sorely missed his absences from the forum. Glad to hear he is well and will return soon. How about a picture of him posted?

Put a very fancy, tasteful, cowboy hat on Burl Ives--but fill in the facial hair with a brilliant, full white beard--and you've got a very accurate image: jovial, smart, of course, and LOTS of stories. In other words, a combination of Santa Claus, Burl Ives, and an engineer/mechanic.

Dell planned to hit town around 4 or 5 pm so I invited monomechanical to join us for dinner. Mono drove up and got to my house about 4 pm. He and I spent the early evening driving around Heber Valley looking at the sights and waiting for Dell's call. I showed monomechanical all my tractor projects (half done) and implement collection. Then we went to gaze across the fence at 9N254 which lives about 2 miles from my house (complete with aluminum hood). Then we toured my neighbors artifact museums. Finally at 7 pm we got too hungry to wait any longer and we went to dinner. Dell called about 8 pm and we went to fetch him and feed him.

I wasn't sharp enough to get a photo before monomechanical had to leave for home (it was late) but I did manage to get a shot of Dell, his dog Keeper and me before he hit the road this morning. If all goes well, he'll get a good night's sleep in his own bed tonight and be back here tomorrow.

Great photo, Jim! It"s always nice to put face to the name, and your efforts to safely return Dell to the board are much appreciated. :-)

Dell, now you got to make it to Talladega. I got some BBQ sauce that you would die for the recipe!!!!

My Jack Russel Bluff and your Border Collie would have a ball.

I'm usually in bed by 9 though so don't call after that! See you in the morning!

Take care,
Zane
