Kinda - sorta starting search for unstyled B to "restore/make dependable for use" cultivating corn.
What items would be "run away fast" or "that's bad but not a deal breaker"? Don't want to buy a good looking tractor and have to spend a fortune to get a new block and rebuild, etc.
I am not familar with the older Deeres but love the unstyled B looks and sound.

A decent running one with not so good tires will bring around $1,600 ? There are several for sale restored for about double that ? Sometimes it may be wiser to buy one allready done , but then you miss out on all the FUN ! of getting down and dirty.

Crankshaft and Clutch Drivers always seem to be shot on the Unstyled B series, Out of the last 7 Unstyled Bs I parted I got one good crank and one good clutch drive, crank sold for $475 on ebay, and the clutch drive sold for $425, other than round spoke wheels those will be your two hardest to find parts. Might be best to get one all done, save the time, and money and its ready to go.
