update on PTO shaft

Hats off to all the old timers on here and everywhere else that are so much more knowledgable than me. My dad got the shaft out for me today without much of any trouble, he tapped it with his hammer a time or two, jiggled it a little and it fell out much like the one I took out the parts tractor. Couldn't say nothing but thanks and shake my head. Hopefully when I'm 70 I know half as much. Thanks for all the advice thank goodness i didn't have to split it

Elvin, congratulations. I'm glad you (or your dad) got the shaft freed up. My dad wouldn't let me work on his tractors since I seized up the Farmall H when I was 12 yrs. old. By the time I got a few tractors of my own he wasn't much able to help. But he did get a kick out of the fact that I have a few tractors and implements laying around. He just passed away and I miss him.
