VAC hyd's differences????????????????

I have a 51 Vac that has an eagle hitch on it. I brought one home tonite that has a hyd valve by the belt pulley and a cylinder on the opposite side that runs a three point system. Is this as strong as the eagle hitch system? Just wondering which tractor would be best to fix up. Thanks, Ricky

Fix them both up and put a 3-point on the early one with the belt pulley pump.

The belt pulley pump is not live, but I am told that it can produce more lifting power than the engine mounted pump.

The VAC with eagle hitch would be the best, as it has live hydraulics. The hydraulics off of the belt pulley is high pressure 2000psi but a lot less gpm of flow. And it is not live hydraulics.HTH

Yeah, I looked for a source about 20 years ago but never found one. I went so far as to getting measurements from the parts sheets (comparing the known dimensions of some pieces that I did have with those on the sheet to get an approximate scale) in order to fabricate a new/old conversion kit. I gave it all up after I acquired a tractor with a factory conversion kit on it. The problem is the links that go from the 'wishbone' to the rockshaft. Getting on and off of the tractor became a major headache and stepping over the links was almost dangerous.

I decided to do this instead and it has worked out really well:
