Need some help getting more power out of a 201g case combine motor. Currently it is a VAC and has 47hp. Only thing done is carb adn govenor rebuild. Motor only has 700 hrs on it. Needs to run stock RPM's.. All help appreciated

There's an endless number of things that can be done if the RPM's is the only limiting factor. We once built a tractor where we only had to run an updraft carb and keep it inside the stock sheet metal. We ended up turning a diesel into an alcohol burner and I think the bill was between $40,000 and $50,000. Just get out the check book. If you are looking for a better answer more information is needed.

Have the crank welded up and get as much stroke out the motor as you can. Measure the limiting cross section of the head to calculate if you need to open up the ports or weld it for max velocity (larger valves may be needed as well). Next is a custom cam to match the RPM's and head. Then have the pistons made to the compression needed for the cam (tractor pistons are pretty easy to make). Next step is to get the most out of your carb, open up the throat and the intake to match. You'll need an ignition to match and some dyno time will help tune it. Good Luck
