what is the value of a JD 730 standard diesel engine motor is good just not running no pto 3-point or power steering. But does have hyds and electric start. tires and sheet metal are good inner and outer rear weights.

First, make real sure that it IS a Standard. Have someone run the serial number. What ever it is listed in the 30 Series S/N Book is what it really is.
A guy from TX had one like you describe on here for sale. I was about to jump on it when I discovered that it is actually a Row Crop tractor with a Standard wide front cobbled on to it. It is worth scrap prices at best.
The values range widely based on condition, originality, etc.
Pictures would help narrow down a value range, cannot tell from just a description most of the time.
Just remember that if you cannot start it and drive it, they can tell you anything about how well it ran "back when". You could have injector & pump issues ($$$), engine, crank, and flywheel issues ($$$), tranny and gear issues ($$$), Powertrol issues ($), etc.
Scrap price is tops if they do not run unless it is a very rare model.

With no pto, 3 pt, or power steering (which you are verifying that it is a manual steer 730) not much if it's not running. Watch out for some gobbled up put together RC tractor that someone made into a std. Run the serial number in the 30 series book to verify. Look over closely. Lot of scams going on these days and second what 730 d es said. Where is it located? Any pics to put up?

I looked at that one 2 year ago and told him it was a row crop and later he had it pictured here on YT and I emailed him and again told him it was not a standard. Guess somebody else is telling him it is because of the front end. It did have dual hydraulics on it that he didn't even know anything about.

What makes him lose any credibilty is that he had already been made aware that it was not a Std. He acted like it was, and told me that he would stick to his guns until "someone that knows sees it in person."
At first, it sounded like his tractor, but as I drilled in with specific questions, it became "my brother's tractor".
It was listed as an "original", "running tractor."
It is a repaint for sure, has a weird tail pipe and muffler set up that is welded to the right side frame. That is not "original".
He finally admitted that it had not run in some years and he "does not have a hot battery to start it".
He may have gotten stuck with it, but it is not right to continue to misrepresent it.
Parts tractor or scrap as those prices get higher.
