Valve seats

As some of you know, I am going to rebuild the TO20 engine. What about the valve seats? Will the new valves that comes with the kit fit the valve seats as it should? Is there any issue regarding leaded gas vs unleaded gas that are used today?

definitly not. seats need to be reground along with the new valves. this is machine shop work for the experienced personal. and the rest of the head will be checked at the same time, such as guides , springs, and head warpage.

several different valves can be used in the z 120.
A pro will do it right. Springs are usually shot

Seats always need ground, or you will just ruin the new valves. Be aware that the seats may be shot and also need replacing. You can put a lot of money into a head. You will not put enough hours on it to find a difference between leaded and unleaded fuel on wear.
