Need help figuring out what model this is.I have been told it doesnt have the standard feed doors.Any help would be great.trying to get better pictures of it.It doesn"t even have anyway to lift up,so I have a pipe wrench and a cheater bar just to lift the disk up.

Should have a tag riveted on one end cap. Don't know what they are called, but the seed metering system is an option, available on FB's and FBA's. I have seen that option listed in one of the manuals.

A full view picture of frt & rear of drill would help identify.

I think it's not a JD drill with the drive gear on the outside of grain box ends. JD drills had drive gear inside and under grain box ends. End of grain boxes on an older JD grain drill are cast not sheet metal plus casting # FF11 doesn't look familiar.

Seed drop tube do not look like Deere and has someone tried to narrow down a wider drill? The angle on back has been rough cut with a torch from what I can see and it if not modified should be a smoth shear cut. Also the hole for bolt to hold it together is empty so if it is fastened it has to be a modified weld job.

Thats a double run grain drill. Can you post more pictures or or a part number? I suspect the sheeting covering the gears is missing. Maybe a DF series?

If it's a JD drill it would come closer to a be a B-B or DR-B but I'm positive it's not an FB.

Never said it was a FB, or FBA, just said that that "double run" seed cups are an option listed in the manuals of FB, FBA drills.

I will be taking more pictures tomorrow.I can't find any tags on it but I can see were it did say Van Brunt om it.It also has 3 boxes on it.Front is real small for grass seed I guess then the middle main box and the rear fertilizer box if that helps any.

FB parts like the power-troll lift would probably fit, or you could use a hydraulic cylinder to lift it. Does not appear similar to my FB, but the square shaft that does the lifting appears the same. I have used the adjustable wrench on the square shaft trick, to raise the discs, but the power-troll lift can be used as a latch, even if it is worn out, and won't lift any more.

It does say Van Brunt on it but its real faded. I can't find any id tags
anywhere. Im lost with this one.It works great but I really want to
get it restored back to original.I don't like using the pipe wrench to
lift it.Thanks for all your help.

(quoted from post at 12:31:14 10/10/10) Any ideas where I can look on it to help ID it?

Look for casting numbers on the disk boots and sprockets/gears and post those numbers.

I'd like to see a photo of the "Van Brunt" that's on the drill

Does the wheel hub cap have any markings?

I couldn't see the feed cups in your other full pics of it but those are NOT JD or Van Brunt for sure. Not sure if Dempster made feed cups like that maybe or Melroe or other. JD Van Brunt, Oliver and early MM drills had cast iron feed cups.
