One of the big tension springs on my baler broke at the hook end yesterday. Any tips on getting that back on would be appreciated. I'm thinking a chain with a comealong to pull it back up. Before we got it someone had fixed the other one at the hook end with a cable and cable clamps. Would it release more tension if I unhook lift cylinders and lift it with a chain hoist? I'd like to just buy a new spring, does anyone know where I might pick up a used one? Also noted that there are holes to add a spring to each side. Would that give me more tension on my bales? Email should be open, thanks.
