Alternator Thread

Gas or diesel? A one wire alternator diagram won't be an OEM diagram. Need to know what you have for electrical (lights, gauges, etc.) for a "complete" diagram.

The Ferguson Enthusiasts of North America website has the OEM diagrams in their Resources section. Those drawings can be modified to having a one wire alternator instead of a generator and regulator. On the diagram for the MF 35 gas, eliminate the generator, regulator, and wires between the generator and regulator. The regulator's Battery wire can go to the alternator battery stud. The wire on the L terminal of the regulator will need to go to the load terminal of the ammeter to supply power to the ignition switch.
