Waht's A Boxblade?

images

Most Box Blades I know of have a leading edge Bar which the Hitch and Side wings are attached to and which can be used as a Tool Bar for attaching Ripping Teeth into.The blade part is also part of this assembly.Where I come from the tool is always refered to as a "Box Blade with Scarifier Teeth". When I moved to Az. I hear it refered to as a "Gannon" . I found Gannon is the name of a Mfg. of Box Blades so I will still call it a Box Blade no matter what these People here in Az. call it[most every one here is from some where else,so go figure}

Fella the other day asked why my back blade said "Bush Hog" on it. I allowed as how Bush Hog made it.

He didn't know it was a brand name.

I had to look real close... I thought that was a model S E X 720. Still I don"t see many times that they would be a good as a rear blade that tilt and tip and pivot and all that.

Mine has a tumble setup so you can change from blading to ripping to back blading without ever getting off the tractor.

PS I go take a pic but its dark out there.

You ought to see what happens to rear tires when a top link breaks and those scarifiers come forward...$900 later, 2 new tires!
