Hey Walt, here's a wild idea. The tow operators use big air bags to tip tractor trailers back on their wheels when they tip over. Maybe a guy could come out and blow up a bag or two to raise your machine. Heck, maybe he could fill the bags with helium (or taler gas) and fly it out!

Funny I was talking to Victor last night and recommended that we use a hot air balloon.

Our biggest problem is where its at in the middle of the hay field where it was completely plowed and replanted last year so the ground id is soft.

Walt, I think you need to get those front tires up, onto something solid. Put down as many sheets of plywood as you can and a few 2x8s or 4x4s to distribute the weight and then jack it up.
Slide some big timber under the front tires.

I have put my Coleman lantern under the oil pan of my tractor and then made a skirt to go around the bottom of the engine and lantern. After about 30 minutes I check to see if the engine will rotate fast enough to try to start. If it does, I remove the lantern and then turn on the gas.

I think you should go talk to your local army reserve guys, tell them you have a heavy lift exersize for them.....
they can lift it out...

Walt,I just went back and looked at those pictures again. I see ruts straight out in front of it. Are you trying to pull it straight ahead? We always get off at a 90 degree angle,like out in those pine trees.Crank the wheel to the left and pull sideways. Hit the left brake so the right side climbs up out of the hole then let the right side pull itself out.

Well I would need enough to go 900 ft to solid ground. Even moving them from back to front it going to take a few and who knows how many will make it across the field.
NO! I'm still looking at summer to make it easier on us and the machine and the field.

Those are Douglas fir Christmas trees worth more than the tractor is and know way to get between them without taking out several 100 trees at 25 to 50 per tree it gets pretty expensive.

I like the Chinook deal I might call the Guard to see if they can help.

When I was a kid (teen) there was an old tow truck guy in town that liked his whiskey. One of our favorite tricks when we got stuck was to go find him at the pool hall, casually mention the stuck vehicle, then proclaim it stuck so bad no man alive could get it out. Worked every time. Afterward, when we'd offer to pay for the tow he'd stomp off in a huff and snort "Kids! Don't ever say Mac McCrae can't pull something out. I could pull the Platte River out of its banks if I could get a hook on it!"

Why not just find a D-6 and a couple of hunderd feet of cable and just drag it to solid ground
