When i leave my 1936 JD A set for a week or so i get anti freeze in both cylinders, maybe a table spoon full in each. The engine is bored and stroked all the goodies inside. Is there a different brand of head gasket i should use. Thanks Bob

if you're confident that your gasket was installed correctly, then you've got a whole 'nother problem.

Your push rod tubes are rotted out.

RobMD,

Don't quite understand your reply.

Do the push rod tubes go through the combustion chamber?

Please enlighten me as to how coolant gets into combustion chamber (presumably), and so into the cylinders from the push rod area.

I am thinking coolant into crankcase, yes. But coolant into cylinders must either go through cracks or past gaskets?
