Waukesha engine

I have a Waukesha diesel engine, model 180 DLC. It's set up as a stationary engine & would like to attach a generator head to it but I first need some engine parts.

I understand that some Oliver's used Waukesha engines in them. Anyone know a reliable source for parts?
Thanks,

Gary

What parts? You also need to know that while Oliver used the 180 series engines not all parts are the same as Oliver used their own head design.

Thanks for the info. This 180 DLC was last used in a marine application so it has a heat exchanger mounted to it. First I'll need a cooling fan, radiator & exhaust manifold.

The 180DLC used a different exhaust manifold than the oliver 55/66/550/660 Series'; mainly because they were on opposite sides on the Olivers. The 180DLC manifolds were both on the right side.
Some Hough payloaders used the 180DLC engines.

There was a 180DLC post on smokstak recently, ostensibly from an Arrow Engine employee (Arrow supports some Wauk engines) saying their 180DLC parts inventory was being discontinued per low demand, and a companion post saying parts were becoming difficult to find, so I"d guess your best bet would be wrecking yards etc.
There"re wrecking yard lists on atis.net and adeptr, broken down by state; most have a net to inquire about something they don"t have in their own yard. Good luck.

I don"t have much on power unit uses (pumps, gens, welders etc) but do show 180DLC"s in:
Hough models 77, D500, H25, HA, HAH and HE, and the Michigan 12B.
Looks like the 180DLC was one of two or three engine options for all of the above; my listings show no years, and I have no idea how popular the 180DLC was in its day--it doesn"t show up in my parts catalogs until 1956...
My Oliver list isn"t complete; I show 180DAB,DKB,and DLB, but have nothing explaining the differences:; John S would be the expert.
If you need internal parts NLA locally, can advise some of the usual suspects (Egge, Foley, M&M etc). Good luck.

I recently did a little research on the 180 series engines. The DLC's used the Ricardo design of precombustion chamber, with special pistons that had cupped tops. The injectors were at an angle, about 45 or 60 degrees from horizontal. The manifolds were both on the right side of the engine.
The Oliver-Waukesha engines used the Lanova design, with the injectors horizontal and energy cells on the opposite side of the engine. Pistons were flat, probably so they could easily interchange with the spark-ignition engines. The intake manifold was on the right side and the exhaust was on the left.
Both engines originally used the Bosch PSB injection pumps, later engines used the Roosa Master system. I suspect crankshafts and rods/bearings were mostly the same, although there were early 180 DLC's that had smaller journals and were not counterweighted, probably limited to 1800 RPM. Later ones and the Oliver Super 55/550 were counterweighted.
John Schweibert can probably add something to this.
There is a 180DLC engine with Roosa Master pump on E-bay right now; probably came out of a Hough application.
