wd-45 brake rod

My left brake rod is snapped off inside the housing. Looking down from the brake inspection hole, it is not visible, is there an easy fix , or does the diff. housing need to be disasembled?

You will have to remove the shoes to fix it. Under the axle their is about a half inch steel rod that will need to be removed. Then take the top off the housing and remove the shoes up through the top. If you search the postings, several people have talked about how to remove the half inch rod on the bottom. Its a fun job, enjoy...

This can be fixed without removing the pin at the bottom & removing the shoes. Remove the top cover & rmove the top adjusting nut & you should be able to lift ouit the arm that the rod threads into for obvious fix.
