WD 45 winter project.

I have a realy nice WD45 that we are currently pulling, but are having traction issues with the farm tires 14.9x28. My father in law has a set of perfectly worn 15.5x38's, and I was going to obtain them for next year. what is the easiest way to convert my rear wheels to 38's, that is what will either bolt to the hub's or is their adapters available? Also once I get them, what can be done to the tractor engine to turn that bigger tire. I'm working with a 3.5 mile an hour rule, and my first gear is around 2.5mph, so I know high RPM's is not an option. How much can be done to that little gas engine. If you don't care to share let me know.

Is the Wd45 using 8 bolt or 9 bolt wheels? If 8 bolt you could get 38 inch tires and rims and weld your 8 bolt centers in, if they are already 9 bolt then get 38 inchers with the 9 bolt center! I do believe some people are selling 8 to 9 bolt adapters? but i may be mistaken

Look at the old posts, there is a lot of AC engine mods talked about. Probably can buy an complete engine of around 400 cubes here a lot cheaper than you can build one. To build one cheap, is a conterdiction of terms. About five years ago I used .60 over 460 Ford pistons Smog are best already have a combustion chamber in them. used 4020 JD sleves, bore them out. then bore your block to fit the sleves, don't worry about the O-rings. Stroke your crank to at least 5.5. 6.25 is better. use honda bottom end rods and ford top end rods. check your compression ratio 12.5 and weld your rods. Freeze everything. Oh get an after-market cam and lifters. I used BB Chevy ex valves for intakes, stock ex valves. And a plastic venturi in the carb, with the choke took out. Also dowel pin the intake, and port match it. I forgot the Elec, Time it a little slow. big coil, electronic ign. MSDS. If you don't like welded rods Cunninghan 5 years ago was 1000. See no place to stop. Most bang for the buck is to stroke it about 5/8 and leave everything else alone. 6188382225 Vic
