WD Carburetor on WD45 ?????

I have a Marvel Schebler TSX159 carburetor, according to the numbers it fits a Allis WD, i was wondering if a WD carburetor will fit a WD45?
I have the carburetor on the tractor now, it starts and idles, but when throttled up it dies and acts like it's not getting enough gas?
The fuel line is clean, the float is adjusted right, the needle is seating correctly, i have cleaned and re cleaned every part in the carburetor.
I have also put a rebuild kit in it and still nothing?
Thanks for any info

Should work fine...

You probably could not tell the difference between that and the original WD-45 Carb, as far as power goes..
AC's are always a little "Cold-Natured" and need some choke while warming up..
Sounds like you need to open the Power screw more if it dies when you open the throttle when warm..

The WD45 op manual calls for a MS TS464. Without checking, the one you talk about is for a WD. Smaller jets? less power? Number does sound familiar, but I"m just on a short break at home after the better half had cancer surgery yesterday, so not about to look up real numbers.........just need a break from the stress. And always, like so many other friends here that needed all of you, we do too, and will appreciate the prayers and good, positive comments.

That carb is made for the WC/WD tractor so it is a tad small on the jet side for the larger WD45 engine. Something to try to see if it works and then you know which way to go. Try choking it some as you open up the throttle and if that works then it has a main jet that is to small for that engine and it is running way to lean

Generally speaking, you will be better off with a somewhat smaller carburetor than one even slightly too large..(for real-world "Working" engines)..

If it is in good shape and CLEAN (Inside), it should feed your engine fine..
There is usually Plenty fuel available, as you have an adjustable "Power" (Fuel) adjustment that should provide an excess of fuel if opened far enough..

I have tried recleaning the carburetor, and it still runs for a second and then dies?
I took the carburetor off of my other Allis WD45 and put it on the one I'm working on and it fired right up and runs perfect.
So i know it is a carburetor problem, but i have cleaned everything in the carb, i can spray carb cleaner in every hole and it blows out the other side,? i guess i will look at it again tomorrow and see what i come up with.

Would anyone know what the adjustments would be for that carb??? I'm used to the bigger carbs that have a different adjustment style,

Thanks for everyone's help

Well since I do carbs all the time I can tell you that you missed something and most likely is some rust or dirt in the bottom of the main jet area. Yep BTDT and have had the same problems at times. Did you pull the brass tube that sits at a 45 degree angle and make sure all the holes in it are clean. Did you run a wire or some such thing into every hole. I use a torch tip cleaner tool to make sure every hole/passage is open

The carburetors will interchange. You will get WD power out of the WD45, about 5-10 HP less. With the smaller carb, you will get quick throttle response. You must have something still plugged up if that carb wont work. It could be your main jet is too far closed, the bigger engine is going to need lots more fuel.
