WD, or WD45?

Thanks to those who responded to my questions. I found what I think is the serial # on the vertical surface of the brake housing - - it looks like WD42994; Also, there's a huge plate on the distributor side of the engine; covers almost the whole side of the engine; And, here's what I think may be the clincher; there's only one tube between the block and the oil filter; the book shows two tubes on the 45; only one on the WD..I'd welcome further comment!

Well the number you have there says its a 1950 WD as per the serial number list on the left side of this page
