i've got an allis chalmers WD that im planning on putting a gleaner E combine engine in to tractor pull with. i was wanting to know what midifications i can make to the E engine to make even more horsepower, what style alternator i should use, the best tire size to use on this set up, if i should do anything to the clutch, and anything i may overlook in the process. thank you very much.

All depends on what type of pulling you are looking to do. My WC with a D-17 motor has 450 cid. Call me and we can talk

450 CID ..... Wow that sure seems big..... I wouldnt want to be standing close to it. I still dont see how it is that big biggest iv ever seen is 395 CID.

4.75 x 6.25 and it has been running for 6 years. when build quality motors you do not have a problem. by the way the motor is for sale or if someone is looking for a great puller the whole tractor is for sale.

You've already got more than you know what to do with! I feel sorry for the tech support at Aries or Ross (whoever you've been talking to), no doubt you've got some b.s. ideas about how to build pistons

i just do what the tech ,experts say not my opinions but theirs . maybe if you could do better in the reading comprehension you would have got that already.
