Im wanting to put a wd45 crank in my wd. my engine guy called for the parts and his parts guy told him that he needs to know a casting number so that i get the correct crank. he says that there are 2 different sizes. also they were saying something about longer push rods. do i need longer push rods? i didnt quite understand. any help?

i just put a 45 crank in a wd block. There are no longer pushrods wc wd wd45 all use the same. The difference is wd45 rocker arm stands are 2 inch tall and wd stands are 2 3/4 inch tall. The only way you need short stands are if you use wd45 head. if you use wd head you are good to go.

my engine builder is older and he mostly builds bone stock tractors. the number he gave me were 226733, 226526, U3086, U3186, and U3194. the number that is on my crank is U3988. the main journal is 2 3/8 so if i get a 45 crank with a 2 3/8 journal then i should be good?
