WD45 side frames

I am restoring a WD45 and would like to remove the long side frames to clean behind. Can the frames be removed without causing damage to the rest of the tractor? Thanks in advance, Basil

Well that is a yes no and maybe thing. A lot depends on how you go about it. You need to support things and or take the engine and front end off. If you support it the right way you can remove them one at a time then put it back on be me I would pull the engine out so as to make sure I didn't mess it up and have something brake

I've done that, supported the engine under the clutch housing. I actually ended up taking both frame rails at the same time.

Yes you will, you have to drain that part first, or at least put a bucket under the belt pulley hole to catch what comes out when you pull the cap out.
