WD45 snap coupler,

Hey guys, I have a piece of jack chain, or endgate chain. going from the snap coupler foot lever, down to the snap coupler, under the tractor. I have tried several ways to route this chain, to get a smooth pull on it, but nothing works. cant overcome the coupler tension, with the foot lever. How was this set up at the factory? I am sure it must have been eaiser, than crawling under the tractor, with a big screwdriver, which I have to do. Thanks RalphWD45

Is the lever in the correct position? I moved mine because the bolt hole was stripped and in the new location it never had enough umphh to pull the spring. Had to move it back to original hole which I think is on the left second from rear of tractor.

Can't take pictures until next week sometime to show you.

Duh" I never once thought about maybe advancing to a forward bolt hole, so the chain wouldn"t rub on the housing, on it"s way down. Is just a chain all the linkige they had between the latch and foot lever? RalphWD45

and here is the front view, there must be some slack in the chain, but not very much.
