I have a 1950 UTS that I pull div 2 Natpa rules. I barely make 5000 lbs now. I also have a 1950 UTU parts tractor. I was wondering if there would be any weight savings swaping to the narrow front. Has anybody ever weighed the complete wide front with steering box, steering shaft etc. and compared it to the complete narrow front with shaft etc. to see if there is a weight difference? Seems to me, the UTS would have lighter, shorter rear axle housings and shafts than the UTU. I already have 9 bolt hubs for the UTS. Thanks in advance for all your replies!
