Left my 20v out in rain. Should I let it air dry or try and blow it out quick? Thinking blow it out but don't want to push it in more? Any ideas? Thanks

I'm thinking drying slowly just promotes corrosion. Most cordless tools come apart easily. You should be able to separate the body halves and give it a good blow dry.

At work left a 20v DeWalt on top of a canopy for 6 months, Dec-Jun. When I found it, battery was still charged and it still ran like it did before. Rain didn't seem to hurt it.

I would blow it out now and then let it dry as long as you can. You might remove the battery and put the drill out in the sun to help it dry.

Hello P. Coltrane

Leave out away from the sun for a day or two. Direct sun can fry the circuit board, if it gets above 140* F. Bet you it will run the drill without charging the pack,

Guido.

Put it in a plactic bag or bucket with a lid and add a cup of white rice. Just stand it up so the rice can't get into it. The rice will absorb any moisture.
