That joker looks like he was wrapped a little on the moist side. :>)

Wet hay? Not around here. We have had the best first cutting haying weather I can remember in years. No rain for over a week, just does"nt happen in southern Michigan in June. By the weather map you have not had such good fortune. We just sprayed beans today, so don"t need rain for a day or so. After that it would be welcome. Hope it gets better for you soon,
Paul

Isn't it amazing how them wet bales let you know it. They squat out like a pancake. :(

I got about a dozen of those that I baled before the last storm. Knew it was wet but wanted it off the field before another rain fell on it.

Been great drying weather here this week.

Hi Ol' Pard,

Even tho round bales are a bit more "forgiving" on wet hay and don't necessarily always spoil, they do bear watching.

I'll sort off these "slumpers" and if they do in fact sour, they will end up being used for either erosion control in some drainage areas or bedding in the corrals.

Yes the weather has been great in central MI for hay will be done today with baling just the task of hauling now some of that is done now too.
