what action to take?

Hey guys quick question. If you paid for some parts over a year ago and received half the parts and nothing but empty promises on the other half what action would you take when a refund is refused and still no parts show up? The parts are half way across the country from me and I"m not sure what I can do to get my money back. I just want the best way possible to handle this so any suggestions or help would be appreciated thanks

Where is the guy at? If he is close to me I'll get your money for 10 percent. I'm getting ready to go down to Kentucky to stand toe to toe with a man that owes me some parts same thing will not call back.10 hour ride but hay it's just the point!!!!

contact the sheriff in that county and ask how you should proceed with a charge of fraud . they will most likely be happy to assist . the prosecutor will handle it after he is charged.

more than likely you will have to file a complaint in that county then you may have to appear of course this won't happen on the same day so it may mean two trips there and if you have no contract other than a verbal agreement you may be sol. Not that it isn't worth trying to resolve this but don't get your hopes too high. Around here if something is more complicated than catching a stray dog or cat the local law doesn't want to help.

Jake, I told you in the beginning to get all your parts from the same place. Spit the guys name out here. If he wants business, he'll do something about it.

Yeah I guess if only I had listened I wouldn"t have missed a whole year of pullin and who knows how much more I"ll miss if I don"t get my money back. The sheriff down there is a good idea let him know I"m not screwin around.

well I did give him until today so ill be getting ahold of the police down there in a little bit, its at least 22 hours away from me which makes it hard. I do still have all the emails saying he recieved payment and emails recently that say he hasnt sent it and bank statement showing cashed check so I hope all that helps me out. Thanks for the replies I guess i will know next time to go with murphys when I need some 2 cylinder parts
