What oil and air filter brands are you all using on your pulling tractors as well as any other machinery you might have?

WIX. Someone posted results of tests a couple years ago and WIX was one of the best Fram one of the poorest.

Fleetguard is the best and is owned by Cummins. I know Case/IH & Mopar branded filters are Fleetguards, not sure about other makes. If I can not get a Fleetguard I will use a NAPA, which is made by Wix. Stay away from Fram, it has been documented time and time again by both individual testing and independent labs that they are consistently the worst filter on the market.

Better stick with a Fram, Their paper might be more poris but that is a good thing. when the paper is to fine and you rev it up either the relief opens or if your engine doesn't have one your engine doesn't get enough oil. Saw this happen on a 70 something Cadillac. Put one of those double STP filters on it the lifters knocked and the mains rattled. Put a plain old Fram back on the engine quieted back down. In 57 a filter was optional on a Chevy, a friend of mine ran his for 75000 and traded it with no trouble. Yes I think you need oil filter. No I don't have one on my pulling tractor.
