What is a Grove wagon?

They were popular 30 years ago. i don't know if the company is still in business. They used a rubber cross convever and I belive they could be reversed to unload from either side.

Dad had a "Grove" wagon and it was a gravity flow side dump I'm not sure but I think it was made in Texas.Grove is the name of the Mfg. Co.

Grove wagons were first built in the late 40's by the company started by John L. Grove in Shady Grove, Pennsylvania. They built hay racks and forage boxes. Because of the need to move heavy peices of steel they also developed a hydraulic crane and became a world leader in cranes, and the company became Grove World Wide. And has since been bought by other crane manufactures. Wagons were probally discontinued in the late 60's or early 70's.
