What is it?

Found this in the dirt outside the shop. The ball rotates about 120 degrees. It appears to work kind of like a anti-kickback of some sort.

I was also driving home through Ogden Iowa and spotted a trailer load of old iron. He obviously wasn't going to make two trips. I was worried he was headed to the scrap yard but turned down a street in town, there is still hope for this load.

That old iron would bring good money at auction around here. I think I see a straddle row horse drawn cultivator. They start at around $250 in fair shape in this neck of the woods. I've seen them go over $1200.00, and those are for using, not collecting.

He turned east on one of the last streets on the north side of town. It was around 7:00 pm so I don't think the yard was open. There is a couple guys collecting old equipment on the NE side of town, nobody is ever around when I drive through or I would stop.
