[Don't know need help]

need help found an old tractor where my brother rents it is tricycle rear tires look like big truck tires it has a flat head four cyl.motor has a drive shaft from bellhousing to rear end not much bigger than a farmall a gas tank looks like an old farmall seat is in the center not off to one side stearing rod is on the right if standing in front has a hyd. lift shifter is on your right when sitting in seat hood and grill is gone it looks to have been red. anyone know if it came this way or was put togather with parts by someone.I have never seen a tractor with a flat head four cyl. before any help or thoughs would be great tahnks.

Possibly a "doodlebug" home made from a model A Ford or some such thing.

Even a pretty good description fits 50 tractors.
The best bet is to post pictures. Those do tell recognizable features. At first thought, I beleive it could be a "constructed" tractor, Those are cool though, Doodle bugs have a sense of historic derring do in them. JimN

I'm trying to think here guys. A General had a Hercules engine. Was it a flat head? They would have been yellow though,unless it was the later Avery version.

That picture is an Empire Tractor. It was made by a Co. that started making tractors out of surplus Military Jeep parts.
