What model John Deere is this?

This tractor is advertised for sale locally as a John Deere 40. With the dash I think it is a 420 or 30. Asking $3500 with new tires. Anyone know exactly what it is from the photo? Thanks, Dan

Looks like a JD 430 V or high crop. I would buy any 430 in that shape for $3500 unless there was a major issue with it.

lt looks like a 430-t with a wide front on it.If the seller advertises 40 you might look at the bell housing and see if its been changed or if this tractor indeed is a put together water with parts from several models. If its a 430 look for the water pump or the way the water pipe comes to the block which I cant really tell on the pic

It is a 430 T.only the T has that type front end.The front bracket holding the front axle is triangle shaped.Has 430 sheet metal and a 430 dash.Tooooo bad it is not a V !!!!
